Interesting piece. Reminded me of that logical fallacies topic in philosophy, which is one of my favorites.
Just a side note, though.

That doesn't sound like something a Communist would say, in my opinion. Sure, there are many people who don't truly represent the view they claim to represent, and those people can be on Twitter, but for someone who doesn't know much about communism or has a bias against it, this sentence could mean a fact, rather than a mere individual example.
That being said, we are, of course, cannot always be held responsible for what people can misunderstand.

I’ve heard a ton of far-lefties make this claim that “democracy is how the Epstein class smuggles fascism, democracy depends on fascism to survive, etc.” I know it’s probably not that common though, so sorry if you were confused about it!

Not really. There are a lot of smart people on the left, and they are the reason I still lean left.
